"AND AFTER ALL, YOU'RE MY WONDERWALL"

October 2nd, 2015. It's been 20 years since (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? was published. Yes, that's right. 20 years. But who's counting. Most of the songs in the album will probably outlive us, though critics at the time described them as "banal", "tiresome" and "unoriginal".

The band recorded the album in just two weeks, averaging almost one song every twenty-four hours. In Noel's view, “Whilst Definitely Maybe is about dreaming of being a pop star in a band, What’s the Story is about actually being a pop star in a band”.

This is what Liam said about What's the Story: “There's s**tloads of meanings in the songs. I don't know what they mean, but there's still meaning there. They mean things but I just don't know exactly what.”

And although the album is among the greatest of all time, I'd like to highlight all of the B-sides taken from its singles, so different from each other, and at the same time so good. Most of you will agree with me when I say “Talk Tonight” and “Rockin’ Chair”, the impressive “Acquiesce” and “The Masterplan”, and definitively “Round Are Way”, the B-side from the Wonderwall single, could have been singles themselves.

20 years later, songs like 'Wonderwall', 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and 'Champagne Supernova' are no longer songs but anthems.
